01Enrollment
Build Lab is an in-person program run by Storyworlding, LLC ("Storyworlding") in New York. You reserve a seat by making the first payment of the plan you choose. Your seat is confirmed when that payment clears, and we will email you the schedule, location, and preparation materials.
02Price and payment
The Founders track is $3,500 per person. You may pay in full when you enroll; in two payments of $1,750, one when you enroll and one on the first day of the cohort (October 27); or in four payments of $875, one when you enroll and one each on October 27, November 3, and November 10. Every plan totals $3,500. Build Lab Teens is $3,500 per student, with the same three plans: in full when you enroll; two payments of $1,750, when you enroll and on January 5, 2027; or four payments of $875, when you enroll and on January 5, January 12, and January 19, 2027. If you choose two or four payments, you authorize us to charge the card you use at checkout for each remaining payment on its scheduled date, and our payment provider keeps that card on file for those charges. If a scheduled payment fails, we will contact you, and your seat may be released if it is not paid. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
03Refunds and transfers
You may cancel for a full refund up to 14 days before the first session. After that, payments are non-refundable, but you may transfer your seat to a future cohort once, subject to availability, or to another person with our approval.
If we cancel or reschedule a cohort, you may choose a full refund or a seat in the next cohort.
04Tools and accounts
You will create and pay for your own accounts with the tools used in the program, such as AI tools, hosting, databases, and payment services. We estimate these at $100 to $150 over six weeks. You bring your own laptop to every session. Those services are governed by their own terms.
05What you build belongs to you
You own the ideas, code, designs, and business you create in Build Lab. Storyworlding claims no ownership or equity in them. Program materials, templates, and curriculum remain ours, and you may use them for your own projects.
Co-build offers after demo day are optional, and any such arrangement requires a separate written agreement.
06Conduct and confidentiality
We expect everyone to treat the room with respect. We may remove a participant whose conduct disrupts the cohort or puts others at risk, without refund. Please keep other participants' ideas confidential unless they agree otherwise.
07Photos and recordings
We may photograph or record sessions and demo day to share the program. We will ask before featuring you by name or face, and you can opt out at any time. For Build Lab Teens, we ask a parent or guardian, and we feature a student only with that permission.
08Build Lab Teens
Build Lab Teens is for students 13 and up. A parent or legal guardian must enroll the student, make the payments, and agree to these terms on the student's behalf. The parent or guardian gives us an emergency contact and tells us how the student gets home after each session. Parents and guardians do not attend sessions. Some tools used in the program, including Codex from OpenAI, require a parent or guardian's permission for users under 18, and some may require an account holder who is 18 or older. A parent or guardian gives that permission or opens any such account, and we tell you which ones before the first session.
09No guaranteed outcomes
Build Lab teaches methods and tools. We cannot guarantee that any product will launch, find customers, or earn revenue.
10Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability relating to Build Lab will not exceed the amount you paid for the program. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11Contact
